Hi, I am 45 and recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am so scared and feel like I can’t talk to anyone close to me in fear of upsetting them more than they already are.
You have really validated my feelings here Mum45 as I am finding talking to work colleagues much easier & felt bad that I feel this way…but it is what it is
Hope you have a speedy recovery and I know what you mean. Everyone around me seems to be scared to mention the word cancer around me, a would rather they would just talk openly about it than avoid it. Them avoiding it doesn’t make it go away. If I try to talk about it the conversation is swiftly changed.
