Hi all, I’ve just finished 3x EC and next week I start the next lot of 3 but will be Docetaxal and Herceptin, I’m seeing consultant on the day too to see if it will be Phesgo injection rather than IV.
Tbh I’m absolutely shitting it the actual procedure of it and the side effects. So thought I’d ask the opinion and experience of you lovely ladies. Hope some one can help please and thank you.
hope all are having the best day that they can ️
No nausea at all. Just tired, bit low mood today. Eyes feel a tiny bit sore too. Coping well. Started Filgastrim injections again today for 7 days. Jo x
That’s great it does help you get through the day without feeling nausea’s, have you got some dry eye drops I think the likes of Tesco sell them for a couple of quid they may help. Sorry your feelg down today hopefully after a good sleep you might feel a little better. What’s the Filgastrim injections? Hugs xx
Have to inject ar home for 7 days after each chemo cycle. Builds immune system back up. Jo x
Oh I see hope they build your immune system up over the next 7 days, I would imagine they help to prevent infection ect. Xx
I have finished the chemo last year. Having Phesgo injections rather than Herceptin infusions. Would definitely recommend. 18 altogether. Every three weeks. 3 to go. Much quicker than an infusion. Only side effect is a red mark on leg, sometimes a bit tender on some sessions, not all. Can't really find any side effects from it other than that.... So good result! Once I had finished chemo I was able to have my port removed as not needed for Phesgo injections. Good luck.
Thanks Iblodwin, I had the Phesgo injection managed it ok, kept the dressing on for a couple of days no sore leg or anything can’t tell where they injected tbh. So hopefully the rest will go the same way xx
That's sounds great. I don't get a dressing...well they tape a bit of cotton wool on in case there is a little blood so it doesn't go on my trousers but I removed that after 20 mind like you do after a blood test. Good luck with the rest of them.
Thanks just hope the rest go the same way and you hope the rest go well.
