Hi I was diagnosed with breast cancer September 2022 I’ve had a mastectomy and just recieved my Onca type test results which recommend me to have chemo. My first chemo session is on Monday and I’m really anxious about it. Any advice from anyone who’s had chemo would be much appreciated. My nurses and consultants have been amazing but I’d like to hear from someone who’s been through or going through about their experience with chemo for breast cancer.
Thank you zephyr, so much info to learn. I do find it reassuring to read and prepare. I have 17 more days until my Oncotype result is back. If you don't use ice and cold packs for the hands how do the hands feel during treatment. I used to get Reynauds cold fingers premenopause, white fingers in fact. I have been using Trichology product to help my hair follicles for years. I'm going to try cold capping if I need chemo. Is peripheral neuropathy permanent if you get it?
Thank you all for sharing and helping so freely, what a gift this is to help each other. X
Don’t worry you will get through! Side effects differ but the chemo nurses are amazing and will take fantastic care of you. If you have some dodgy days, just take one at a time. It’s worth it in the end. You will be fine. Best of luck xxx
