Hi lovelies
I am freaking out a bit here ( what’s new ) about the time between diagnosis and and treatment starting
officially diagnosed on 2nd feb , had CT and waiting on MRI because something showed on my liver
Have an oncology appointment on 8th March but it seems so far away ?!
How long did you all wait for treatment to start after results were all back ?
Love L xx
The waiting is the worst isn’t it !
You’re waiting on the appointment to come through ?
Yes, reading online, best if chemo starts within a month of op. Already waited a month to see Oncologist
Worrying when they've indicated 3 to 4 weeks time
Hi
I had my scans last week was supposed to get the results tomorrow, but the details have not come through, so I now have to wait until next week !!
I have been told I will have 6-8 rounds of chemo first before surgery, so getting frustrated as things are taking so long.
Just hope there is nothing on the scans as that will delay the treatment further, as they will have to stop to investigate. Sounds like you had surgery before Chemotherapy, is that right?? xx
Oh no sorry you have more waiting
it’s so frustrating isn’t it
L xx
I found a lump, went to my GP the net day and then it was exactly 7 weeks after that I started chemo. In that time I'd been to the breast clinic (I was very lucky that I saw them less than a week after my GP) to have mammogram and ultrasound and biopsy, then MRI, then CT Scan, heart scan, went for a check up at my dentist and had 2 appointments with the surgeon and 2 oncology appointment. They fitted a lot in!
From final results (CT scan), it was 2 weeks to chemo, though I also had the heart scan and dental check up in that time.
It sounds like you're still at diagnosis stage if you're getting more scans. The more information the have, the better they are able to tailor your treatment, so it is worth the wait. Your situation is unique to you and it sounds like you are being well cared for.
