My sister is due to have her first radiotherapy treatment on Monday but an hour before she has a consultation. Does anyone know what this consultation is about/for and what she should expect?
I am sure every hospital is different but when my mum went for hers it was to let her know about what side effects to expect, what to do if she had any symptoms and just generally to talk through the treatment. The service my mum received was excellent so hopefully your sister will experience similar. Everyone was helpful, informative and supportive. Good luck to your sister x
Thank you for your reply, I've let her know what you've said and hopefully it's put her mind at ease a little X
