Hi , when is the prognosis of 14/ 18 months usually taken from ? Is it from the time of the first seizure or the date of the craniotomy or from the confirmation of the tumour type after craniotomy ? Feel i need to know this so we can make damn sure we surpass the odds given , i cant do that if im not sure when to start from. Thanks all
Most consultants use the date of diagnosis and take into account the size, type and situation of the tumour when they give a prognosis. They may even qive average life expectancy..but every single one of us is different. I can confirm that from personal experience. I refuse to be average, it's working so far...good luck.
