My Dad has a terminal brain cancer.
He has not had chicken pox.
Recently a relative visited who has just advised they have shingles.
Is there anything i should worry about / do?
I plan to call GP tmrw but now out of hours and know will have a sleepless night worrying...
Any input tonight gratefully appreciated.

(Dad is not on any radio/chemo anymore, just steroids and an antibiotic for an infection)

. You can't catch shingles from someone else who has shingles. But there is a small chance that a person with a shingles rash can spread the virus to another person who hasn't had chickenpox and who hasn't gotten the chickenpox vaccine..
Let's hope your dad don't catch chickenpox..
