  • I'm new to the forum, I'm supporting my husband who has just started on a clinical trial immunotherapy for bowel cancer. He also has a small tumour on his pancreas. He's had his first dose - a double dose and the last ten days have been a rollercoaster. It looks like he may have had an underlying infection as he was admitted to hospital on Sunday after becoming very weak. Came home Monday with antibiotics which seem to have made a big difference and his temperature has normalised. Still a bit weak but ok.
  • I was wondering if anyone else has experience of immunotherapy. His drugs are nivolumab and ipilimumab.
  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

That's great to hear he's feeling so much better now and I hope his ongoing immunotherapy goes more smoothly.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi Anne, thank you for your reply. I will update my profile with further information.

You've certainly been through a lot over the past few years. Hopefully the future will be calmer.
