Hello, I’ve been on this site for some time. I have for months been worrying about a bit I read on a report about peritoneal. I was called in and told by my oncologist don’t worry about it. My GP , CNS didn’t understand what I was talking about when I mentioned this area. On my last letter there is no mention of it. When I spoke to my CNS , I told her what was worrying me. She ask me why I didn’t say anything when I spoke to the consultant, I said I did and he told me not to worry.  She said well don’t worry. She just all my scans were clear. I pressed her and she said there were cells in the the peritoneal but nothing in tissue. If it was serious would they have to tell me? Has far has my GP says it’s all been resected. I have a colonoscopy in just over a week, so maybe this is adding to it all. This was how I was diognoised first time then with a reaccurance which I was not expecting. I just want to move on but still finding it difficult. Thank you xx

  • Can't help, , except to send a big (((hug)))

  • Hi

Can I just ask was this a peritoneal area that was referenced in your initial pathology report from your bowel resection ?

Or was it from a scan ?

So sorry you are concerned . Easy for others to say not to worry but sometimes you need to sit down and have it thoroughly explained in order to understand why you have no need to worry .

    Take care ,

  • Hi court from that report and it looked grim, that is from google.I know they were testing more things so when I spoke to her she said there was nothing in the tissue everything was clear. I have my colonoscopy in just over a week and 3 monthy scans soon. My colonoscopy was were I was diognoised and the reaccurance. I think everything has just come flooding back. I’m in nurse surveillance so I assume I don’t have a doctor at this present time, it’s just up to the nurses to sort my scans out.  I  just want to move on. All the team I’m under seem positive. Even nurse spoke to my husband yesterday and al my scans are really good. Thank you for replying Court I really appreciate. It will be a year in November and I’m still lost in it all, sending hugs Nelly

  • Hi Gemmary, hope you are getting better after your Covid. My daughter had it twice in 3 months, she has been jabbed. She does work in a high numbered secondary school and people were in and out of her office. Sending hugs xx
