Welcome October and I think it’s only appropriate to wish BowelBabe a very special 40th birthday !
A tough struggle at times for her to endure all she has come through to reach this milestone birthday ! But she is another one who lives a good life in spite of a difficult diagnosis! Her fundraising and awareness work is quite incredible but she is also just fun so I hope she has a wonderful birthday weekend ! It’s also a family birthday here and caring is sharing so this is for all the birthday girls !
There is always one wee star that just won’t stand up ! This is the last of my September Sunsets ! Just before we literally saw winter clouds forming over the hills and knew deep down the seasons had just change !
Gemmary I would love your fire !
Lots of love to all who are pushing through treatment just now . Those stage 4 stats are slowly being pushed forward by some pretty determined people !
Brilliant news seaspirit44. You will be relieved!
We are so reliant on our phones we struggle without them ! Yikes ! Glad you got it back up and running !
My first phone was the Mars bar type ! You had to pull the wee antenna up ! How things have changed !
Take care ,
Yes, I wouldn't have got through the last couple of years without Charlie Mackesy!!
Wonder why we are much harder on ourselves than other people Gemmary . One to try tomorrow!
Aha, but tomorrow never comes.......!!!!
I do try but life sort of gets in the way, and I only remember when I've failed to pace! Like today!
Lovely news, well done Nelly55
Fantastic news seaspirit44. Keep it up! x
Thank you all. X.
It is so difficult to pace when plans go wrong and everything happens at once. The phone problem was my fault. I had touched something and put it on airplane mode and didn’t realise. I blame it on t sedation! The carpet looks fab
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Well I'm feeling quietly pleased with myself, and thought you guys would know how I feel.
As a personal challenge I signed up for the 5km Race for life, and the rescheduled one was today. Just hitting a steady walk, I managed it in an hour dead! Well chuffed. Huge improvement on last year, so the drift is definitely up. Couldn't talk whilst walking, like you are supposed to be able, but not mega out of breath either. So hopefully, just maybe, the long covid is finally lifting. Yippee!!!!
That's it. I'm just savoring the moment.....
Oh and I always match the sponsorship money for Macmillan, so doubly worth walking.
Absolutely fantastic Gemmary that’s a big boost for you and Macmillan! Well done ! You have definitely earned a good rest tonight !
