Hi I had oxaliplatin and capetabine last time got severe nerve damage last two had to be reduced by 20%. This time its irinotecan sfu and colonic acid and panitumumab (vectibix) combination every two weeks coming home with pump for 46 hours for 6 months thank you for replying just not sure if anyone else on this combination xx
Hi Debbie 2018 I had both the regimes you mentioned above although I had cetuximab which I believe is similar to panitumumab. I personally found the irinotecan, 5fu + cetuximab combination more manageable than the oxaliplatin. No cold sensations and a lot less nausea. Just keep an eye on your skin as the pani can cause dry skin, rashes or spots. They will give you moisturiser to use, I had pliazon and they also gave me hydrocortisone cream and antibiotics. Now the weather is getting better, be very careful in the sun and wear sun block.
As for the pump, it was fine and you get used to it. They gave me a bum bag to pop it in and the district nurse came out after 48 hours to disconnect.
Thanks Kareno62for the tag, hope you are well.
