Hello all,

I’m a bit all over the place, sorry if this comes across quite jumbled. I’m concerned I have breast ca metastasis in my pelvis as have been having pain for 2 months, on and off during the day, worst in evenings, feel nauseous a lot of the time. Also have pain in right rib cage but putting this down to RT and breast removal/tx. Ruled out ovarian ca today with a scan, but my GP is sending me for an urgent bone scan.

I finished treatment for breast cancer (chemo, herceptin, radiotherapy, lymph node clearance, double mastectomy) last November 2019. I didn’t have a whole body CT since my initial diagnosis back in April 2018. Can I possibly have metastasis so soon after completing treatment? Could they have been before and not seen?

Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation?

Sending you all my best wishes xx

Hi there

its horrible waiting for scans, your anxiety will be through the roof.

everyone’s story is different, and comparing yourself to others isn’t always a good thing.

hope you get a scan date ASAP then you’ll know what it is. Until then I hope you have some distractions to keep you going.

Hi this is often known on the forum as " scanxiety". The fact there's a term for it shows how many of us get it. Doesn't make it feel any better tho does it?

Hope u soon have a scan date then at least you'll have something to plan for.

Good luck !

Oops should be to

Good evening, I am so sorry to hear of what you are going through, please read my profile, . The drug my beloved wife was on did a reamarkable job, so much so that Novartis - The manufacturer- used her as  a benchmark for the effectiveness of that drug..Unfortunately the Letrozole didnt work eventually but Kisqali was amazing in keeping the markers in her secondary bone cancer very much under control..
