Hi 5Heroes, Sorry to hear your news especially at this time of the year, it is normal for the cancer to spread soon after removal surgery, unfortunately having been given the all clear I had a small nodule found on lung, had that removed in August and the histology was bladder cancer, so my diagnosis now metastatic bladder cancer.
Far from being the news I was wanting but scans were showing no other areas, until recently a problem with the liver which was needing further investigation, went to see my oncologist for the results few day before Christmas, she was very pleased to tell me it was a fatty liver problem and not cancer, now that was my favourite Xmas pressy.
Try not to worry to much 5Heroes, we are lucky to be checked over regularly to have these things caught and given treatment before it too late, keep strong and best of luck for the new year.
After a whole year, that must have been unpleasant news. Unfortunately BC is highly recurrent, so it is a stress we live with. Did you have any treatment initially, or was it low grade? Hopefully your new one will be the same & will simply need removal again. My brother had multiple recurrences of low grade over a few years, but was eventually clear long enough to be discharged.
Even if higher grade, plenty of treatments still available. Best wishes for 2025.
