Howdy all.
So after i was diagnosed with bladder cancer obviously there was the initial holy sugar..tears etc and the surgeon mentions the fact that i might die. But then i started to think about things I'd like to cram in before the curtains close. Some ideas on my bucket list are quite easy to accomplish and some a little more difficult.
Anyone else got a bucket list?
Maybe the next best thing is a massive tv..lol
Right on. The big C..certainly puts things into perspective.
My biggest wish on the bucket list is not to kick the ruddy thing!
Hi, Bluepanther, just re the dog, it might be worth checking out either eg local facebook to see if you could enjoy having someone else's dog to stay while they are away, or I believe there's a dedicated dog-sharing website..
Or depending where you live Support Dogs [based on the edge of Sheffield nr M1] are always looking for puppy fosterers and dogs-in-training weekly boarding homes, and going away now and then may not be an obstacle as another boarding/foster home can fill in. An incredibly worthwhile thing to do and you get to enjoy the dog but not forever nor be responsible for al the costs.

I got a dog when I got my all clear. She is eight years old now. She makes sure I get out of bed in the morning and keeps me active. I have to take her on walks and to the park even though sometimes I don't feel like it. So a positive even in bad weather. It is a long term commitment, but worth it. A friend of mine is guide dog puppy trainer. They have a puppy for 12 months before it is allocated to a long term owner. They get lots of support and can holiday the pup if you go away. Downside is you have to give them up, but they get regular updates on where the dog has been allocated to. My bucket list is to live longer than my dog. Best wishes .
Great discussion topic!
Same here, I started thinking about a bucket list but I just struggled to get excited about it. Some of my ideas started with "I suppose I could . . . . " which I think demonstrates it wasn't working for me . However, I would like to go to the 6 Nations Rugby; Ireland v Scotland, in Dublin.
What's on your list Bluepanther - you don't say?
Wow..what an amazing looking dog. Just the sort I'd love.
If i dont kick the bucket for a while..I'll really try to get one. The wife is a bit scared of big dogs so I'd have to get a puppy and tell her its a miniature..then look all surprised after 6 months...lol
