Is anyone just being newly diagnosed with bladder cancer. I have yet to have the tumours found removed and I am terrified and so in shock and wonder if anybody is going through the same thing.
Thanks just having this bit helps as it's very lonely when you are not sure what you are dealing with. How did you know you had the cancer? The guy who did the cysoscopy said my tumours were middle to high grade so that sounds pretty serious.
Hi,My situation was different to most as I already had years of Interstitial cystitis before being diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago this Sunday.I started feeling unwell at the start of 2019 the bladder symptoms were different to my usual ones.I had signs of an obstruction as I couldn’t pass urine for hours or I was going every few minutes.I had a TURBT and a solid tumour was found.It’s good to hear your mum is doing well.Mum was 87 when she died.I had been her full time carer until I got cancer.I’m currently sorting out all her belongings as I have to sell the family home.High grade bladder tumours are not uncommon.Once you have your biopsies they will know the grade and stage of the cancer.Best wishes Jane
Hi Bumblebee49, my husband's diagnosis wasn't recent, 2017 or before... but just anted to let you know that his bladder was packed with 'cauliflower like' growths his words for what he saw on the screen]. The lab report came out as G3 pTa, G3 is called "highly aggressive" which does sound bad. But he has had a couple of TURBTS, 6 BCG and some Mitomycin and been clear for at least 3 years now.
Went thru it last july the op itself went well the recuperating was a different story alway being tired after the slightest exercise .took 5 months to be ready for work again .
