Two years after completing my treatment and finally no longer feeling the after effects of radiation cystitis my last cystoscope revealed some suspect cells. I have had a rigid cystoscope and a biopsy which showed cancerous cells have returned. I had a meeting with one of the consultant urologists who said that they haven’t had the MDT meeting yet to discuss my options but he said that surgery after chemoradiotherapy was problematic because the bowel could be damaged.
obviously I am now very worried about my options and wonder if anyone has experience of this and could let me know how they progressed.
They were supposed to be discussing my case on Friday and said that the Uro-Oncology nurse would ring me after the meeting but no one rang so I don’t know if the meeting was cancelled.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
