Hi all - just wanted to say hello really. My FIL was diagnosed with BDC back in July. It’s our first experience with dreaded C word and we are just trying to find our way.
Its just so overwhelming to be told 3-6 months! Out of the blue. Or perhaps 6-12 with chemo which is now underway.
Not sure how to cope with the timescales and the journey ahead. So reading your experiences is so very valuable. Thank you for sharing!
Hi WildRhubarb and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear that your father-in-law has recently been diagnosed with bile duct cancer and I can understand what a tremendous shock it must have been for you all.
It's great that you've found that reading other people's experiences with this disease has helped. You might also like to join the family and friends group where you can share your feelings and get support.
If you'd like to join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your father-in-law's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Thank you x. I’ve popped some details in my profile now.
