hello all. My mom was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal last week. She will be having her consult with the oncologist with subsequent imaging to determine stage and duration of treatment however she has been told that it would be a chemorad. combination that would last between 3-6 months. I am planning to be married this coming April and I am wondering if I should push back the date should her treatment take 6 months due to that only giving her 8-12wks of recovery.... My question to you all is how soon after treatment do you begin to "feel better"? The last thing I want to do it put her in a social situation she is not ready for. Thank you all for the help and information.
