Hi Peeps
I'm struggling a bit.. im 7 weeks post treatment and whilst I'm coping with most after effects..its the use of dilators and having sex that's causing pain..
For last few weeks I have used dilators 3 to 4 times a week and thought I was doing ok.. but then today myself and hubby tried sex for the first time this year..we managed..but now I'm so sore down below and tender.. im assuming this is normal and to just persevere?
Any advice would be appreciated
X
Hello squeak,
I think it's ok to persevere with the dilators but maybe back off a bit with hubby if it's really sore, for a bit longer. Seven weeks is not long at all to be having 'proper' sex so well done getting there at all. You will def be still be healing, so probably wait and try again when you feel less sore. Ouch.
Hello Squeak
I am really envious - I am three years out and still haven't had sex! The advice I was given is to make sure that you use lots of lubrication internally and externally, but as Mars Vanilla suggests, maybe hold off for a short while whilst still using the dilators.
Best of luck

Hi ,
I did really well with the dilators and although I’m 10 months post treatment , I’m still struggling with sex .. I’m not sore and can’t quite understand why we get so far but we have adapted !!! My main issue post treatment is right sided hip pain and digestive issues but you will find a way back ..
good luck
