Hi all
Can anyone inform we as to the time frame post SCT for AML to the time you can have your childhood vaccines, in addition, if anyone has recently had them, were there any side effects.
My wife is now 9 months post transplant, doing very well, very little Gvhd, now on 2 monthly blood tests no hospital visits and only taking Aciclovir and penicillin. All blood levels pretty much back to normal incl neuts and platelets.
Just about to have her 3rd of 4 covid jabs.
We're looking to go on a foreign trip ( europe) in a few months time, maybe 12/13 months post treatment but without these jabs I'm guessing it's a definate no no.
Thanks

Obviously I had a different type of blood cancer but I just checked and I started my re-vaccinations 6 months post SCT exactly as it stated on the general vaccine information I was given early on after getting home.

We have not been informed at all, but I think I can recall a conversation long ago that it was about 12 months. I'll check with the team for advice.
