Life insurance

The life insurance linked to our mortgage is ending soon. When I met my husband he already had the mortgage & life insurance so I was added on to both. So now he’s told me that I’m no longer insured. I was told that Macmillan can provide reasonable quotes. I was diagnosed in October 2012, active treatment finished in August 2013 (now on hormone therapy until 2025) & my mammogram last year was clear. I really should have some form of life cover considering my history. Can anyone help? Michele x

Hi

Having had cancer could affect your ability to get life insurance at a reasonable cost.

Although Macmillan do not sell life insurance or provide quotes they can point you in the right direction if you phone the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 808 0000 and speak to one of the financial guidance specialists. It's free to call and the team are available from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

I do hope you are able to take some out.
