Hello all, I finally have the courage to join this site and open up about my experience whilst helping others.
I do have a question around work adjustments. My story is interesting as I was to start a new job two weeks after I got the diagnosis of BrC in 2017. I almost didn't go to my induction but I was honest about it from the start. I did work through out my treatments, chemo, rads and surgery, subsequent biopsy and scans (last dec 2018) but I am starting to fell the fall out my immunity is low and the winter is getting to me, I'm fatigued and some days are very dark. My mum developed a very serious illness in Nov 2018 and I had to move home twice in 2018.
I've opened up to my line manager to explore some options and wanted to get advice from the community on how to tackle this. I'm afraid I'm not able to cope with all that's happened whilst doing work and I just need a break...but for how long...how will it affect me financially....what can I do? Really would appreciate some advice.
I posted a reply to this message on New To The Site. To read it just click here.
