Hi I'm Rachel, my son (8yrs with autism) has just been diagnosed with Wilms Tumor - kidney cancer. He started treatment on Thursday and we are already back in hospital . Just wanted to say hi to any other parents of children with Wilms or children with cancer and autism.
Hi Rachel welcome to the community though sorry to hear your story We spread things around a bit more than you as my wife has the cancer, in her case Leiomyosarcoma, and daibetes our son has autism and then I have Ankylosing spondylitis [a form of rheumatism] and a benign enlarged prostrate.
Back to school for son tomorrow starting year 9 (he is 13). He goes to a school in a communication and interaction base attached to a mainstream school.
