Hello all,

we suddenly lost my dad a couple of months ago to lung cancer, from diagnosis to him passing was 1 week, when I say diagnosis they strongly believed it to be cancer but didn’t rule out a pocket of infection we never got to biopsy results before his passing. He had a post mortem due to industries he worked in and its come back as ‘metastatic neuro endocrine carcinoma of the lung’ is anyone able to break this down for me and what it means?

thanks to anyone that can help

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to hear that you lost your dad to cancer a couple of months ago and it's understandable that you want to find out what 'metastatic neuro endocrine carcinoma of the lung' means.

Could I suggest that you post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist nurses will respond within 2 working days. Just click on the link I've created and then select 'ask a question'.
