Hi all, I have bladder, cervical Ca which has now metastasised into my lung. I am newly diagnosed, so afraid. Worried about my two young kids and husband. I was given 18 months. In shock.

So scared to hear that I have 18 months to live. I am 45 year old with two kids and a living husband. So lost at present.

Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community although I'm so sorry for the reasons that you've had to find us.

When I was diagnosed with melanoma I can remember what a shocking experience it was so I can only begin to imagine what you must be feeling.

I hope you'll find that talking this through with others who will understand will be a big help to you so could I encourage you to join the living with incurable cancer group. Although the title of the group might not sound that cheery it's not all scary stuff over there and they chat about all sorts of things as well as having the occasional meet up.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. Because it's for incurable patients only there will be a brief period to wait while you're 'approved' but you can still look at posts there while this process happens. Once you've joined you can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Sending a big (((hug)))
