Mum has been diagnosed with breast, lung and bone cancer. Stage 4. I’m totally heart broken

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community although I wish you hadn't had to find us.

I can completely understand how heartbroken you must be on discovering that your mum has been diagnosed with cancer. I see that you have joined and posted in the breast cancer group and I'm sure you'll find that the people over there will be able to answer questions about treatment and give you support.

If your mum's breast cancer has spread to her lungs and bones then you might also want to join the secondary breast cancer group so that you can connect with people in a similar position as your mum.

Finally can I suggest that you join the family and friends group as it's a supportive place to share your worries and emotions with others who will understand exactly what you're going through.

To join any or all of these groups just click on the links I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the pages that open. You can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' or join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you feel up to it it would be really useful if could pop something about your mum's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Sending a big, virtual (((hug)))
