Hello everyone, I haven’t been diagnosed as yet but had a ct scan of abdomen and pelvis yesterday to look for anything nasty. I have a million questions even now. 6 weeks ago I was fine, then had pains on the tips of my ribs followed over the weeks by loss of appetite, about 16lbs in weight loss with resulting loose skin everywhere, full after a mouthful, constantly bloated, fatigued all the time, constipation and the pains in my ribs are all around from front to back now. Really stressed and anxious too. Paid for a private ct scan because of the long wait for the nhs. I don’t know what happens next, how long I’ll have to wait to find out or if they can refer me back to the nhs. Also I’m wondering if I do manage to regain some weight will all this loose skin fill back in?
Hi Montjeu and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us.
As you are finding out this all takes time but once you get some clear information things can move more quickly.
This site is organised into various support groups so we do have lots of groups that are Cancer specific groups so once you have clear information you can join the best group that fits your journey.
I lost 27kgs on my treatment journey.....59ibs.......I have put about half of this back on and some concentrated exercise has dealt with the the loose skin is ok.
You will eventually receive a report from a Consultant Radiologist and most likely be referred on to the best part of the NHS.....but as you know this will take time due to the pressures they are in at the moment.
Always around to chat.

Hello Mike thanks for replying. God I’m so anxious right now. Are there other things that may be minor that gave the same symptoms as pancreatic cancer?
Honestly Montjeu I have no idea - sorry.
I was diagnosed with a rare Skin Non Hodgkins Lymphoma way back in 1999 and it only showed as a little rash....... it took a further 14 years before I had to have full on treatment. During those years I had lots of medical issues and I eventually gave up stressing about them as they were normal illnesses that everyone would have got.
You are on a journey and all the stress in the world will make no difference to what will or will not be found and what type of journey you end up on.
You may be living on Dr Google at the moment - stay away from it as this is a stress Refuelling Station - you need to have patience, work with your GP and other health professionals to get answers.
((hugs)) from a safe distance.
