Morning folks,
Hope everyone is well as can be this morning. Im looking for a quick bit advice? My dad's got severe leg cramp this morning, cant bear any weight on it (in his left leg) and apparantly his leg is a purply colour. This has set alarm bells ringing a bit as Im sure i've heard/read about being aware of clots in the leg which could probably be very dangerous. I've just phoned his GP and am waiting on someone calling me back. Just wondered if anyone else had heard of or experienced this?
love

Dear Karen
I was so sorry to hear your sad news. I remember when my dad died (12 years ago) I seemed like I was on auto-pilot afterwards and that helped me get on with the practical issues but from time to time mum and I stopped and had a really good cry and then got on with things again.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but last year my grandma died and as my mum was in hospital at the time I had to deal with everything. Thankfully her situation was very straightforward, but if i can give you any advice or answer and questions I'll try to help. I was told things like "get as many copies of the death certificate when you go to the registrar as you need to notify relevant organisations (banks, insurance companies etc) because it's easier to do that then than to ask for more copies later.
I hope I haven't upset you by posting this, if I have I am really sorry.
Take care.
Sending you lots of hugs

Hi Lesley
Martin, not had anything like that you did the right thing by calling the gp, are they coming out to see your dad? The might just be because your dad is not as active as before, but I dont know about the purple colour youd'd be best to get it checked out let us know what happens please.

Hi Gayle,
The GP is coming out this morning so just on my way down. My dad is self-diagnosing a groin strain, he always tries to play everything down. As soon as i heard my mum say its purple, i thought, erm no, doesnt sound like a groin strain to me! Better to be safe than sorry eh. Will keep you posted. Still no snow here - BAH! xx
