Breast cancer for the under-50s

Breast cancer is far less common in the under-50s, but this can leave younger people with a diagnosis feeling isolated. This group is a place for them to come together, share experiences and support each other.

I think it’s back

I’m scared, found a lump in my arm pit, and one on my ribs which have been very painful for a few days, I’m soo tired having a nap every day, I’ve rang my breast nurse and left a message, I thought it had come back last year but thankfully I was wrong, I just can’t bare the thought of waiting and worrying for weeks on end again, I think I’m so scared this time as a few weeks ago my sons father (we not together anymore) was seriously I’ll in a coma, he came through it but seeing the effect it had on my 18 year old son as made me petrified to leave him, I know he won’t cope at all and that scares me more than anything else. Sorry for long rambling post but I don’t want to tell my family and worry them unless I get the bad news then I’ll tell my mum and brother.

Im so sorry you are going through this.

You have done the right thing by ringing your nurse breast. Try not too worry, can’t believe I’m saying that as I know just how hard this is.

Good thing is you should get in quickly, as opposed to having to go to see your GP and then waiting two weeks to be referred.

Its an awful thing to have to tell your children, it’s the worse thing I’ve ever had to do, I know where you are coming from but they are pretty resilient.
First things first, you don’t know anything yet, wait till you speak to your BC nurse and it could well be good news.

Please Do not apologise, your post is not rambling.

We are here for you, please keep in touch and let me know how you are getting on x
