My husband has been prescribed ibrutunib for his recurring mantle cell non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Some people who are on this drug have been advised not to take cod liver oil due to risk of bleeding, but when i asked at our hospital they said it was ok to take it. Just a bit confused - there is no mention of cod liver oil in the instruction leaflet - just to avoid grapefruit and Seville oranges.
I am sure you are confused, a little conflicting advice. I don't routinely prescribe Ibrutinib as its not my speciality, however, I know there is a patient advice line called you&I run by the company. They will be able to give you the most up to date information. Good Luck!
