I had a breast biopsy on the 5th February, I’ve not had the results yet, the consultant said it takes 5-7 days , I haven’t even got an appointment, could you please put my mind at ease. Thankyou
Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the online community. It can be confusing knowing what to expect.
Biopsy results are usually available within one to two weeks. Sometimes these results are double checked which may account for the delay in your appointment.
However, we would encourage you to get back in touch with the consultant or breast clinic to make them aware you still haven’t heard from them. They will be able to offer further reassurance about when the appointment is likely to be.
I hope this helps. Please don’t hesitate to get back in touch if you have any further questions. Best wishes, Kelly (Macmillan Information Nurse Specialist).
