Hi Mags L

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to our online community.

It would be difficult for us to say how likely you will be able to travel after surgery, as this will depend on how well you recover from surgery. The best people to advise about this will be your surgeon or breast care nurse if you have one. It’s also a good idea to contact the airline that you are planning to fly with too.

Our information about travel during treatment might be worth reading over to look at ways, if you get the go-ahead, of minimising risks to you. if you have questions about travel insurance our financial team can help with this, we also have a travel insurance group too.

I hope your surgery goes well and if we can help with information or support please don’t hesitate to stay in touch. If you’d like to join our breast cancer group you’re welcome to do this too. The support from being in touch with others in a similar situation can often be invaluable.

Take care, Linda (Cancer Information Nurse Specialist)
