Hi Annabellabee,

Thanks for getting back in touch with us.

There are many reasons why your husband might be having difficulty sleeping. I see from your previous post that he is feeling depressed and anxious. This could be affecting his sleeping pattern. His anti-anxiety medicines may be causing him to feel drowsy through the day. It’s common for some people to change their routine. It’s a catch 22 situation if someone sleeps all day then it can be difficult to get to sleep at night.

We would suggest that he talks to his GP or palliative care team about how this is affecting him. You mentioned CBT in your previous post and this could be helpful to try. We have these helpful tips that you can try and information about things that can help to treat insomnia that you discuss with his medical team.

Best wishes and take care
