I have now Received 4 cancellations for My Thyroidectomy, how long should I expect to wait? I was diagnosed 7.04.2021.
Hello Netty Can and thank you for contacting the online community.
I was sorry to read that your thyroidectomy has been postponed 4 times. I can’t imagine how frustrating and worrying this must be for you.
If you haven’t already, I’d encourage you to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team at your hospital who can help resolve concerns or problems when you're using the NHS. You can find out more about what they do and how to find your local team here.
We also have a team of cancer specialist nurses here on our support line. You'd be welcome to call in on 0808 808 00 00 or web chat to discuss appointment timescales and the possible consequences of delayed surgery.
You might also like to join our online community group for people affected by thyroid cancer which is for anyone affected by thyroid cancer to come together and share experiences.
Netty Can how are you just now? Do you have support around you? We’re here for you during this difficult time so please stay in touch if it helps to talk or if you have any further questions.
