During my sickness that lasted for 2 years, I was paid some SSP from my employer.  I have just noticed on the Gov UK site, that my NI contributions are low by approx £1,300.  Could you pls advice what I should do pls?  I did earn the lowest PIP but nothing else. Thank you.

  • Hello

    Thanks for getting in touch.

To discuss what your NI contributions and what you should do about them I’d like you to speak to our Welfare Rights Team. They’ll be able to discuss this with you as well as do a full benefit check to let you know everything you’re entitled to. You can speak to them on freephone 0808 808 0000 and they’re available Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm and weekends 9am – 5pm. You can also contact them via webchat here by clicking “chat to us” and then selecting the “Welfare Benefits & Grants” option.

If you’d like any support with personal finance areas such as managing debt or a mortgage, questions about insurance policies or pensions, writing a will or power of attorney etc. then please let me know and I’ll be happy to help you.

Hope to hear from you soon.
