Hi

I am having op in January for bladder cancer but also there is a 4cm lump on neck by or within lymph node.

I have had CT scan , MRI scan and biopsy and now recently got to have dental and PET scan but i still haven't heard anything one way or the other even though they have had most results back.

I'm just worried that surely they know what i have but not telling me and now more scans.

Sorry , i just want answers

Regards

  • Hi Aston63,

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to our online community. I’m Barbara one of the Cancer Information Nurses here on the Macmillan Support Line. I’m glad to see that you’ve joined our bladder cancer forum.  I hope you find this helpful.

I’m sorry to hear of your diagnosis of bladder cancer and that you are worried about the 4cm lump on your neck.  Waiting for results can be a stressful time.

Here at the Macmillan Support Line, we don’t have access to any NHS records, therefore we don’t know if the lump in your neck is connected to your bladder cancer.

Your healthcare team or GP may be able to offer some advice or information regarding your test results.  Perhaps by contacting your consultant’s secretary they can arrange for you to speak with your consultant.

It can be difficult to live in a time of uncertainty.  Our website offers information that might be helpful to read through on how to cope with uncertainty

Finally, please don’t hesitate to call us on the Macmillan Support Line if you need further advice or support.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes

    Barbara G
