  • Hi greeny123

Thank you for getting in touch with Macmillan Cancer Support.  My name is Michael and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the Macmillan Support Line.

Sorry to hear that you have been getting stomach pains, after your chemotherapy, and that you have had to be seen at the hospital.

On the Macmillan Support Line, we do not have access to your medical records and cannot diagnose what is causing your pain. We also cannot recommend any medications either.

As your pain has come back again, we need to advise you to contact your clinical team.

As you are currently having chemotherapy, you should have been given a 24-hour chemotherapy hotline/emergency number. You should call this immediately.

With any new, worsening or changing symptoms we always advise people to contact their GP, Hospital team or NHS 111, who do have access to medical records.

If you ever feel that your symptoms are life threatening you should call 999.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best wishes,

    Michael
