Hi Blodyngwyn,
Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the online community. I see from your profile that you are a member of the breast cancer forum. I hope you are finding it supportive.
My name is Fiona and I’m one of the cancer information nurses.
I’m sorry to read about your recent diagnosis of inflammatory breast cancer.
We would encourage you to speak to your cancer team or GP about the symptoms of heat and pain that you are having. If you are having any new, increasing, or worsening symptoms it is always important to report these to your GP or hospital team. This allows them to make a full assessment and decide if you require medication or further investigations to manage these symptoms. They would want to hear from you and know if you are struggling.
On the Support Line we are separate from the NHS and do not have access to your medical records or NHS systems. Your hospital team or GP are best placed to discuss these symptoms with you.
You mention that you have decided against having chemotherapy and surgery. If you need any support at any point, you can read more about what is on offer here.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to get back in touch if you want more information or support.
Best wishes,
Fiona P,
Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
