Dear LNe
Thank you for contacting us here at Macmillan Cancer Support. My name is Rae and I am a Cancer Information Nurse Specialist on the Support Line.
It is important to contact your own cancer team when you are experiencing symptoms resulting from surgery for your grade 2 ependymoma tumour. They will want to know the challenges you are facing and may be able to provide products to help without you having to pay for them personally.
You may be able to speak to a pharmacist who can recommend a product. Either your local pharmacist or we have Boots Macmillan Pharmacists.
It is difficult for us to recommend a specific product for you to use as we are not part of own cancer team and do not have access to your medical records. Different products are used depending the stage of healing, and a wound should always be examined to ensure that it is not infected before recommending products.
Please do give us a call on the support line if you wish to discuss anything further. We are here from 8am to 8pm 7 days a week.
Best wishes
Rae, Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
