I am diagnosed with cup I am surviving 8 years now and get scans annual doing extremely well I have been on a ds1500 but time frames I had to renew last one was off doctor gp practice now they won’t issue me a update one but I still meet the criteria under said conditions even if I am in remission it’s still classified terminal illness I need clinical clarification under nice guidelines and government guidelines and any up to date information and policy to protect me I now have to fill in pip forms and have telephone calls assessment when I should be SRT1 fast track special rules can I please have crystal clear information from cup cancer department specialist or any cancer help because it can cause me stress worry mental health issues and I think from information I have I am entitled to SRT1 but I need clarification and my SRT1 form can you please help me

    Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. I can see this is obviously causing a lot of stress and anxiety, and clearly it is something which you need some clarity about.

    Unfortunately, we cannot confirm whether this would be something you should be entitled to  . If you still have any contact with your hospital team, we encourage you to get back in touch with them about this in the first instance. They may be able to provide you with some clarity and advise you how to proceed. If this is not possible, or they cannot help, and you feel the GP has ignored your rights here, we would encourage you to make a complaint about the GP through the surgery concerned by asking to speak with the practice manager. If they are still unwilling to acknowledge this, you could look to make a formal complaint through the NHS. You can find guidance about how to do that below.
