The " surprise" one was hiding and picked up on a precautionary mammogram. I consider myself very lucky! My husband and I live abroad so we're trying to do all this in a foreign language. My care so far, though, has been fantastic. I had a lumpectomy in March and it's healed really well. I had my first of six chemo's on 7th April and the second is this Wed, 28th. I was disgustingly sick for four days but then I picked up and felt normal. I still think all this is happening to someone else!

Every time I needed information I came to this site( it's a highly rated site at my hospital) and so I found the community. Now I'm not overly emotional but the support shown here has moved me to tears pretty much every time I've looked. The understanding with humour and getting on with it attitude works for me so thank you all already~!

I'm off to shave my head now-bandanas at the ready..
