Things are a little bit more positive in our household....

Less than one minute read time.
Hi there - Just wanted to add a quick blog to say Paul had a really good day yesterday - only a little bit nauseus in the morning but came good after an anti-nausea tablet - went to the local pub for lunch with a mate and even had a couple of beers - just two - I joined them for 10 mins which was nice too - he felt that good he took Jack to footy training - I offered as it was cold but he said whilst he is feeling good he wanted to make the most of it - his blood sugar levels are slowly I think stablising - but he still CANNOT sleep - poor thing last nite only had about 3 hours in total and that is with the higher prescribed sleeping tablet Mogadon - havent phoned him this morning - I am at work - wanted him to try and get some sleep. So I am sooooo happy he felt better yesterday - was the first time he looked and acted like normal!! Keep fingers and toes crossedxxx

I am so pleased to hear that paul was able to have a near normal day.

The lack of sleep is so debilitating ontop of everything. I do hope he got some sleep last night.

wishing you all lol and hugs.

    Hi Debbie and April

Thank you for your email/post - yep things are still going well for Paul - he popped an extra sleeping tablet a couple of nites ago as the insomnia was driving him around the bend and ended up sleeping for 7 hours -

I have just been reading your profile and would like to add that I think you are a truly courageous person - so strong - with all that you have been through - how are you yourself going now?  You are in inspiration to everyone -

    Love Taniaxzxx

Tania I was so pleased to read that Paul has been feeling good. It is wonderful news, and must be making him feel more positive about the whole journey he is on. Get the boys to keep him on his toes and functioning day to day, I really feel that just having to get up and get on with it makes you feel heaps better.

    Cheers

Thanks for your kind words. I think that finding our selves in this position makes us strong. If someone had asked me 5 years ago what i thought i would do in this situation i'm sure i would have said "hang myself"!

So glad to hear Paul got a good nights rest, it also means you too get a chance to rest. If it takes another pill then so be it.

lol n hugs to you all

Hi there everyone  I am new here and very unsure how things work but here goes. My husband was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer with secondary in the liver. What a shock - never had anything like this happen before. He is 58 and I am 54 We have 7 children between us and they are all devastated.  He had the bowel operated on and is now on chemo (Folfox & Avastin) The Avastin isn't on PBS and so we have to pay for the first 9 treatments @ $2,202 per treatment. We go to see the liver surgeon next week to see if it is operable so fingers crossed.
