I enjoyed walking 4 - 10 miles once a week with friends always planning our route round a good pub for lunch. I found a lump in my groin I thought was a hernia so went to see my doc. She was amazing. Not 100% sure she sent me straight to the hospital where I was immediately admitted. A biopsy. A week later I was informed by 'phone from a Dr at hospital that I had cancer in the lymph nodes and these would need to be removed. That was Oct 2005. Since then I have had two further cancers and have just finished 6 sessions of chemo. The last one was the easiest to deal with because in can be treated. Life is good each day whether I am dozing because I am shattered or am enjoying the company of my grandaughter.
