Dr said tumor was as big as her heart. That sounds huge but not sure how this compares. I keep thinking she has a balloon inside her that is getting bigger daily, does it just burst and infect her whole body

Original plan , before Xmas, was to remove part or all of her right lung, TBD once she was on the table but she was in hospital for 4 weeks and ultimately the surgeon spoke to me and dad and said surgery was no longer an option as she would not survive.

3 weeks on she was taken back into hospital as she was dehydrated, no appetite, energy etc - Just looked a poor soul, not my lovely mum. Decision then taken that Chemo was not an option.

This left radiotherapy. Met with Dr today and he said he will do one huge dose to relieve the pain she is in as the tumour is growing daily and there are additional spots on her lung. I asked about what stage she was at to try and get my head around thing prepare myself if the worst was coming only to be told I dont need to worry about stages, what does that mean? to late to do anything, she is at early stage and therefore not defined,

I am finding the whole Dr thing so frustrating. These guys do a great job but sometimes tell it like it is / straight talking makes it so much easier.

To make it even worse my mum is hard of hearing and we had literally walked out of the Dr office and she turned and said, what did he say !!!
