My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 Lung Cancer at the end of February/start of March 2009.

We were told it was non operable because of where in the lung the tumour was but would treat with aggressive chemo and radiotherapy.

His treatment ended on 14th July and we then had to wait until October for CT scan to see how it had gone.

So far so good, tumour had shrunk and cancer had not spread, only time would tell if the tumour was still active or not and he was put on steroids to help with lack of strength and energy.

Back to see oncologists on 5th January 2010 and she were pleased with how he was doing, had managed to put weight on and was feeling much better than had been in October. So changed reviews from 3 months to 6 months.

Then on the 13th January he started urinating blood, GP ruled out infection and kidney stones but while ultrasound being done found something in his right kidney about an inch in size.

Back to see oncologist Tuesday 2nd February to be told its cancer and need to do a CT scan to find out if new primary in his kidney or secondary from his lung. If primary and only in kidney they will go for kidney removal if secondary from lung will hopefully be able to do radiotherapy!

Now just waiting for date for CT scan to find out what we are dealing with this time and just feel so angry that just when we thought we were getting a bit of a break it kicks you right where it hurts AGAIN!!!
