My hubby of almost 21 years was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer on 17th (I think) March, St Patrics day anyhow, total shock as our own GP had said he was not worried about his 'lump' it was probably just a lump of grissle from falling off a bike as a kid, yes those are the exact words he used, and that my hubby was the 'wrong' age to get TC but it need checking just be on the safe side. So off we went to see a consultant at the hospital, took our 16 month old baby boy with us and I waited in the waiting room with the baby while my hubby went into the consultants room, did not see my hubby for another 2 hours!! I was pacing round the hospital looking for him and obviously I sensed something was not right but then said they are probably just sending him here there and everywhere for tests but why has he not come to me to tell me?? I then found him sat outside of the consultants room in the corridor and he told me he had TC and was being operated on the following week, yes I was very shocked at both the diagnosis and the speed of which he was being operated on, I knew nothing about TC so I did not realise they liked to get the tumour out as quickly as possible and don't bother doing a biopsy first. When my sister had Breast Cancer it was ages from her being told it could be we will do tests and it is!

He had the op 3 weeks ago today and we are still waiting for a CT scan to be booked and his histology results, its driving me nuts all the not knowing what will happen next etc...
