I was booked in to have 20 sessions of radiotherapy in Cheltenham.

I searched the net for vocal chord cancer and found a Dr Zeitels in Boston, Mass, who used a KTP potassium laser to remove tumours from this area.

I went to Boston, was examined, the next day operated on. Two hour operation removed the tumour. No after pain, slight soreness for around a week.

Voice OK. His clinic only deals with voice problems.

The only drawback was the expense, around £15,000.

Had checkups here since every month, no problems.

Whilst there met Dutch doctor who was going to set up operation in Holland.

I don.t understand why this system isnt used here, on a conveyer belt system the money and time saved for the NHS would be appreciable.
