First aware that something was wrong on

Passing blood!
Next day GP referred me to local hospital

9.15 X-ray
9.45 Urology Day Case, investigations

16/06/2008 - Monday
9.45 MRI Scan

14/07/2008 - Monday
Pre-op assessment

18/07/2008 - Friday
8.00 Admitted to hospital for TURP op and biopsy

21/07/2008 - Monday
Home from hospital

06/08/2008 - Wednesday
10.30 Appointment with consultant. Aggressive prostate cancer 
confirmed.
         PSA 37.7 - Gleason 9 - T3,N2,M1
Started Cyproterone Acetate tablets ( 3 a day)

15/08/2008 - Friday
09.30  Injection for Bone Scan
12.00  Bone Scan

16/08/2008 - Saturday
Started non-dairy diet

18/08/2008 - Monday
1.00pm 1st injection Zoladex implant

20/08/2008 - Wednesday
2.40  Oncology Clinic
        Bone cancer in pelvis confirmed
        Details of Stampede trial explained

03/09/2008 - Wednesday
Finished Cyproterone Acetate tablets

10/09/2008 - Wednesday
3.20 Oncology clinic. Blood test, X-ray and ECG

15/09/2008 - Monday 
Zoladex injection at GP (three month) feeling great and no side effects yet!

19/09/2008 - Friday
Confirmed on arm D of Stampede trial with Celecoxib tablets

02/10/2008 - Thursday
One week into Stampede trial and Celecoxib tablets - feeling great and no 
side effects yet! I think the dairy-free diet also helps

13/10/2008 - Monday
Spoke too soon, started having hot flushes! 

20/10/2008 - Monday
Hot flushes now more frequent, sometimes every 10-15 min! Otherwise 
feeling great.

30/10/2008 - Thursday
Blood tests, ready for next week

05/11/2008 - Wednesday
10.30  Chemo suite 
PSA up slightly to 6.4 otherwise nothing else to report
Collected more Celecoxib tablets

06/11/2008 - Thursday
10.30  Revue progress so far with consultant
PSA increase no cause for concern, does tend to fluctuate and is still way 
down from Sept 24 (37.7). No further visits to urology Out-Patients planned.
All now being dealt with by chemotherapy dept every 6 weeks

05/12/2008 - Friday
3rd Zoladex injection

15/12/2008 - Monday
Blood test for Wed 17th

17/12/2008 - Wednesday
10.20 Chemotherapy clinic, PSA 6.0, slightly down on previous visit.
Feeling good apart from occasional groin ache. Continuing to be positive.

28/01/2009 - Wednesday
Chemotherapy clinic DRI, PSA 6.2, slightly up on previous visit.
Hot flushes still a problem but putting up with them ok
Intermittent rashes a problem especially on legs. Otherwise Still feeling OK. Next visit 11th March

27/02/2009 - Friday
4th Zoladex injection

11/03/2009 - Wednesday
10.20 Chemotherapy clinic DRI, PSA 6.1 feeling fine except for hot sweats.
Next visit is in 12 weeks.

22/05/2009 - Friday
5th Zoladex injection

03/06/2009 - Wednesday
Chemotherapy clinic DCGH, PSA 4.79 a drop of 1.31 from last time, feeling fine except for hot sweats still.
Next visit is in 12 weeks
