He has been unwell for quite some time, loss of appetite, a cough, loss of weight and generally not feeling as active as normal.

He is 85 years young, my rock, my icon, my guide and now he needs me. I am petrified of losing him to this disease, tomorrow he is having his bowels checked to see if the cancer is there too, they suspect it is but cannot be 100% certain until tomorrow.

It has been heartbreaking watching him go from independent, active, always out to a housebound little man with no sparkle, we are doing all we can to help him, we have a little tight family so we are helping him and each other.

I feel really lost and I tohught maybe coming here would help me to understand what we can do to help him, I really want him to kick cancer in the bottom and get back to being my lovely bubbly granddad, I know his age and the circumstances are not on his side, but Im not giving up.
