He went back this summer to sort his life out to move here permanently and was diagnosed in late September/ early October.

We are doing all this at a 12000 mile distance and its very hard. If it wasn't for Skype I think I would be la la by now.

He is coping really well and despite a dry mouth and lack of taste he's coping. He's just completed week 2 of 7 weeks of radiation and has 2 more chemo doses to come. They are using a new machine called a troll which targets the radiation more directly and seems to be working well.

I think probably the hardest thing is us being apart. As you know when going through this you need constant reasurrance that all is well and on track and even though Antony updates me constantly, not being able to see him and care for him is tough. Its made me realise the ripple effect of this illness on all around the person suffering it.

Not dwelling on things is the hardest in the hours between conversations with him. i've read some other blogs on here from people who have gone through the same treatment and thats really helped me.

I guess doing it at a distance is unusual but not unique - Any input anyone has would be greatly received.
